As details emerge it is unclear how many were injured or killed in the crash
A Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train station in Brooklyn, New York is reporting at least 30 people injured and major damage to the station after a train derailed. Seats and equipment are collapsed and first responders continue to pull people from the debris.
One video, taken in the Atlantic Terminal, shows the aftermath of the train’s crash into a door on the platform after it came off of the line. Some of the damage can be seen as the structure was twisted during the impact.
